Biography

  1. In the will of Alice Callender widow of Bristol proved 29/11/1803 she reiterated the provisions of her husband Timothy's will, and in addition bequeathed an estate she described as Foul or Fowl Bay, which had belonged to her brother Nicholas Rice, together with the enslaved people attached to it, to her son Nicholas Rice Callender, £4000 currency to her son John Rice Callender, and the enslaved people that had belonged to her prior to her marriage to Timothy Callender and who were or had been on an estate called Lower Plantation, the property of Timothy Callender, to her two sons.
