John Allen McPherson

Biography

Partner with Barclay Farquharson and Louis Perras as 'West India planter' on Martinique (when he was known simply as John McPherson) coming to England in 1803 and then going to Bombay in 1804, where he died in 1822. In 1827 there was an advertisement for his creditors to come forward in London arising from the Chancery suit between Gillies McPherson and William Taylor Money.

London Gazette 18335 13/02/1827 p. 346 shows the partnership on Martinique apparently dissolving sometime between 1798 and 1803.
