Robert Byndloss

Biography

Robert Byndloss was listed in the Jamaican Quit Rent books for 1754 as the owner of 1250 acres of land in St Catherine, 187 acres in St Mary, 188 acres in St Ann and 899 acres in St Thomas-in-the-Vale, total 2524 acres.

Probably the Robert Byndloss, eldest son of Polnitz Byndloss and his wife Catharine nee Gregory, born 09/02/1713/14, Member of Assembly for St Catherine in 1744; buried 07/12/1753.

Byndloss and Mastine were listed in the Jamaican Quit Rent books for 1754 as the owners of 1000 acres of land in St Mary. This may refer to Henry Morgan Byndloss, Robert Byndloss or Thomas Byndloss (all q.v.).
