Tentatively identified as the Edward Bathurst, eldest son of Edward Bathurst of Finchcocks (1680-1772) and his first wife Elizabeth nee Stringer (1685-1715), who died in Jamaica in 1751. This Edward married Dorothy, one of the daughters of Lancelot Lee, of Coton, dear Bridgenorth, Shropshire, and had a daughter named Dorothy who died at the age of 92 in 1837.
