  1. Frederick Charles Mais, born 18/04/1812 and baptised 30/07/1812 in St James, Bristol, son of Charles Mais, a hat manufacturer, and his second wife Elizabeth Corne nee Pownall.

  2. Not located in the censuses but admitted to Barnwood Lunatic Asylum in Gloucestershire 01/03/1873 where he died 11/02/1902.

  3. The will of Frederick Charles Mais of Barnwood, Gloucestershire, died 11/02/1902 proved in London 24/07/1902 by Rev. Frederick Louis Byrde [his nephew] clerk, effects £1812 4s. Frederick Mais of Barnwood House was buried in Barnwood, Gloucestershire, 14/02/1902 age 90 years.
