Merchant of Barbados.

  1. Administration of the will of William Timbrell or Timbrill of St Michael Barbados [made in 1743] was granted 10/12/1762 to his daughter Sarah Price formerly Timbrell. In his will he left to his dear son William Timbrell 'two negro women by names Kate and Hannah... and the issue of such slaves' and to his dear daughter Sarah Timbrell 'a negro woman by name Thisbee and her child by name Tom... and the issue of the said female slave hereafter to be born'. He had two lots of land and a dwelling house at Chester town on the Chester River in Maryland and five other enslaved people in Barbados which and whom he ordered to be sold for the benefit of his children. He had a mother and brother in Britain to whom he left money for mourning rings. He identified Lawrence Trent as his uncle and John Sober as his brother-in-law.
