Biography

Apprenticed to an attorney, Robert Spottiswoode, in London in 1782, when the London merchant Thomas Gowland appeared as his 'next friend' and guardian. Seemingly dead by 1807. LBS has concluded that there were two men of this same name. This man was the son of Jacob Johnson senior, and married Catherine Williams, spinster in Westmoreland, Jamaica, 16/08/1786.
