Biography

Annuitant and contingent remainderman under the will of his stepmother Martha Sober (q.v.). Will of Abraham Cumberbatch Sober of Lewes Suffolk proved 07/04/1814. The will is very simple and left everything to his wife Ann, carefully described as the daughter of Thomas Kemp MP.

[2nd] s. of John (Queen's College, Oxford, 1756), of the Barbados, West Indies (and Penelope, dau. of Major Martin Blake, of Antigua and Sevenoaks, Kent). School, Kensington. Matric. Michs. 1793. Sometime Captain, 1st Dragoon Guards. Married, Anne, dau. of Thomas Kemp, M.P for Lewes, and had issue. Died Dec. 7, 1813, aged 42, in London. (V. L. Oliver, Caribbeana, II. 154, 231, V. 250; G.
