Anna Fitzgerald was Williams (née McNeil)

Wife of Gershom Williams of Jamaica (whose will was dated September 1765), she remarried, to Lieutenant Edward Fitzgerald in St Catherine, Jamaica, in 1772. Two sons, Edward Dalling and Thomas. Bequeathed an annuity of £325 per annum in the will of her second husband, secured upon Kildare estate in St George, Jamaica. Widowed by 1797 when Thomas Fitzgerald was admitted to Lincoln's Inn. By 1814 her annuity was greatly in arrears and she was owed a further sum of £17,600 Jamaican currency, with interest at 6 per cent also secured on St George; Kildare was taken into receivership. Plaintiff in the Chancery case Fitzgerald v. Stewart in 1828 when she claimed her annuity had ceased to be paid from 01/01/1825. Died at the house of her son Thomas Fitzgerald in Green Street, London, 05/09/1828.
