This remains a tentative association. Joseph Terrill placed his estates in Barbados in trust in his will proved 1755 for his eldest son William: Cabbage Tree Hall had belonged to Col. William Terrill, the father of Joseph Terrill (d. 1755), and in 1804 was reportedly sold by Edward Terrill as heir at law of his brother Joseph Terrill. These latter have not yet been identified. Edward Brace Terrill the elder, the son of Joseph Terrill (d. 1755) had a brother Joseph, but had died c. 1790. |
