Reportedly son of Samuel Foster and brother of Samuel Warren Foster.

  1. Will of John Forster [the elder] of Upper Charlotte Street Fitzroy Square proved 22/01/1841. He gave his daughter Marianne Forster £4000; his grandson the Rev. John Forster £1200; and two great-nieces Jane and Rosa residing with him £600 and £300. The rest of his property was to be divided among the same four legatees in proportion to their monetary legacies. One of his executors was John Frederick Foster (q.v.) of Sale Priory near Manchester.
