Son of Robert Scarlett and his wife Elizabeth nee Anglin. Born in Jamaica in 1773. Married Mary White 09/11/1796 in Richmond, Yorkshire. She was the daughter of Hugh White. Four children, all born in Jamaica 1798-1803. Alive in 1817 but deceased by 1820. No trace of a will for him has been found.
