Biography

Partner with John Robley (q.v.) and Charles Brooke in a short-lived firm established at Dunkirk in 1802 to handle consignments from Tobago (then briefly under French control) but dissolved formally in 1804, and then partner in another merchant firm in London. Son of John Proctor Anderdon (q.v.) and brother of James Hughes Anderdon and John Lavicount Anderdon (both of whom q.v.).

  1. The partnership of Thomas Oliver Anderdon, Ralph Blois and John Dent at 2 Copthall Chambers was dissolved 30/04/1816.

  2. Will of Thomas Oliver Anderdon (made in 1853) proved 01/12/1856. He left his daughter Emma Blanche his personal estate (other than a £2000 debt due from his son-in-law) and put his real estate in trust for her benefit.

  3. Thomas Oliver Anderdon of 7 Old Square, Lincoln's Inn, was an investor in the British American Land Company in 1835. He had two votes so had purchased between 15 and 30 shares at £50 each.
