Capt Henry Haynes R.N.

1777 - 1838

Henry Haynes late of the City of Bath, Captain in the R.N., named as one of the proprietors of the Friar's Hill estate in Antigua between 1821 and 1832. In 1817 the estate had been described as belonging to the heirs of Thomas Oliver. The naming practices for Henry Haynes children reflect his marriage to Harriet Watkins, a daughter of Thomas Oliver erstwhile Lt-Governor of Massachusetts.
