Biography

Daughter and co-heir with her sister Caroline Barclay Campbell (q.v.) of Peter Campbell of Kilmory, from whom she inherited Holland estate and Shaws under his will proved in 1822.

  1. Eliza Woollery Campbell married John Powlett Orde (later Sir John Powlett Orde bart.), son of Sir John Orde, in 1826. He built Kilmory Castle, now the HQ of Argyll & Bute Council. The couple's son took the Campbell name as Sir John William Powlett Campbell-Orde 3rd bart. (1827-1897).
