Biography

Son and heir of Sir John Boyd 1st bart. of Danson House in Bexley, Kent, which the second bart. modified and then sold in 1807. Co-owner of Camden Park estate on St Vincent, as well as Boyds on St Kitts.

  1. Sir John Boyd, Bart. was born on 27 Oct 1750. On 26 Feb. 1784, he married Margaret, the fifth daughter of the Right Honourable Thomas Harley, brother to the late Earl of Oxford. Together they had four children: John, born 5 June 1786; Augustus, born 11 July 1787, died 1 March 1788; Margaret, born 4 April 1791; and George, born 10 March 1793.
