Ann Zimmer (née Kaylett)

Biography

Eldest daughter of Thomas Kaylett senior. Baptised 11/08/1790 in St Andrew, Jamaica. Inherited 1/3 of the estate of her father Thomas Kaylett senior in trust according to the terms of her father's will when her only brother Thomas junior died without legitimate children in 1805.

Married John Zimmer 16/02/1811 in Marylebone (both "of this parish"). Four daughters baptised in Marylebone: Ellena (1813), Adeline (1814), Corinna (1816), Ophelia (1817).

Death 13/09/1837, "Mrs Ann Zimmer, wife of John Zimmer, Esq. late of London, and daughter of the late Thomas Kaylett, Esq., of Maverly Estate, in Jamaica, at Worcester [England], after a long and painful illness, aged 47 years and 59 days." Their only son John Didier died at "Aux Cayes Hayti, or St. Domingo", age 28 years and 17 days, "H. B. Majesty's Vice-consul at that port".
