Biography

William McNeill [sic] of Glasgow was shown as the owner of Buenos Ayres estate in Trinidad in 1813 ('lately the property of Alex. Henry & Co., London'). Stephen Mullen shows William MacNeill as partner in MacNeill & Stewart, a Glasgow West India firm which was in partnership with Alexander Henry & Co. until 28/10/1805.

  1. In 1798, William MacNeill was one of the partners in John and Alexander M'Kenzie of Glasgow and Mitchell Bryce of Trinidad at the dissolution of both firms by mutual consent.
