John Elliott Hyndman

Biography

Partner and probably son of Robert Hyndman of Dublin (q.v.): the two men were bankrupt at the time of slave compensation and John Jameson of Dublin, their assignee (q.v.), contested the compensation for the enslaved people on three estates on Antigua.

  1. John Elliott Hyndman was replaced as agent at Dublin for issuing Foreign Office passports after his death in 1859, having been appointed earlier that same year. He died aged 63.
