Counterclaimed and then withdrew as judgement creditor on Spring estate on St Vincent, the compensation for which went to trustees for among others Harriet Hill as herself trustee of Henrietta Mary Johnston Hill, presumably her daughter. Under the will of Robert Gordon of St Vincent, Robert Gordon left 1s to his nephew William Hepburn sen., and a share of the Grove estate to his great-nephew William Hepburn jun. Harriet Hill was the great-niece and heir of Robert Gordon of St Vincent. Conceivably the same William Hepburn as the awardee of the compensation for nine enslaved people in Castries, St Lucia. LBS has not fully untangled the Hepburn family of St Vincent, but is inclined to believe that there were three William Hepburns (1) the man whose will was proven in 1814 (2) William Hepburn senior (husband of Henrietta Neale Hepburn (q.v.)), who was alive when Robert Gordon made his will in 1828 and (3) William Hepburn jun., who died in 1846.
St Vincent no. 645, which shows him as of 17 Belle Vue Clifton; St Lucia no. 417.
