Née Gascoyne (sometimes given as Gascoigne), beneficiary of a trust whose trustees were paid 3/4 of the compensation for the enslaved people on Seven Plantations in Clarendon Jamaica. She and her husband, the MP Charles Lushington (q.v.) also claimed for the remaining 1/4 ex parte paterna, but were unsuccessful.
Sarah Lushington 'of St Margarets Westminster' was buried at Little Stanmore aged 49 27/12/1839. Her age was possibly understated.
Daughter of Lieut Col. Joseph Gascoyne who was the brother of Sabine Gascoyne (q.v.). She was the author of a travel journal, Narrative of a Journey from Calcutta to Europe (1829).
