Notes

New Division and York's appear separately in the compensation records but were combined in the Slave Registers. In the will of Walter Tullideph dated 1794 he characterised 'all my New Division estate' as including inter alia 'the lands I bought of Mr Wm York.'

In the will of Walter Tullideph, he left in trust his 'all my New Division estate, containing the lands formerly Tremills and Devereuxs & the lands I bought of Mr Wm York and Capt. Saml Martin.' Although the précis is ambiguous, it appears that his daughter Charlotte Ogilvy was tenant-for-life of the estate under his will, and then to Walter Ogilvy (who d.s.p. 1808).
