T71/493 402-403
1822
[Number of enslaved people] 43(Tot) 7(F) 36(M)

In the 1822 Slave Register, Johnson Littledale registered 43 enslaved people with the note 'The above Negroes were registered at attached to Balliceaux in March 1817 since which period the have been removed to this Parish.' The parish is not specified: the entry follows immediately after the Adelphi estate. Littledale's will refers to property at Owia, on the north-east tip of St Vincent in Charlotte parish, consistent with the 1822 entry (Adelphi was also in Charlotte parish).
