Application process
- What are the entry requirements?
There are no formal requirements, but applicants typically have:
- Relevant work experience- see individual course pages as requirements differ.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively in professional and academic contexts.
- What is the application deadline?
The deadline for applications is Friday 26 April 2025. We run a rolling admissions process which means once the course is full we close applications. Therefore we suggest you apply as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

- How do I make an application and how is it processed?
You can book your place online. If we require further information, we will contact you.
- What is the payment deadline?
Payment will be taken in full at the time of booking your place. If you do not meet the requirements of the course, your payment will be refunded.
- Is there accommodation?
There is a wide range of accommodation options - including local hotels and UCL Halls of Residence, which are located in central London, a short walk from Bentham House.
Accommodation is arranged and paid for separately by the individual. If you would like to stay in UCL Halls of Residence, please contact us and we will send you a code to use for your booking.

- How many hours of teaching are there?
There are 16 hours of teaching in total.

- What are the fees?

- What is included in the fees?
Fees include:
- all teaching classes
- all reading materials
- fully catered including lunch and in-course refreshments
- networking opportunities
- an end of course reception
- Does UCL Laws offer discounts?
UCL Laws offers a range of rates, please see individual course webpages. An early bird discount of 10% is applied if you sign up before 31st December.
- How do I make a payment?
Payment is made online in full via the UCL store using a credit/ debit card at point of booking. If you would prefer to receive an invoice please contact us.
Visas
- Will I need a visa?
The UK visa policy allows visa-free entry for up to six months to citizens of several countries, most of which are from the EU and Commonwealth states. If you are not from the countries included on the visa-exemptions, then you will need to apply for a standard visa.
If you need to apply for a visa, you should make sure to apply for the course as soon as possible to make sure there is enough time for the visa process.
- How do I obtain a visa letter?
The Executive Education office will be able to provide you with a visa letter. Please contact the Executive Education team.
Terms and Conditions
- Could my programme be cancelled?
A minimum number of delegates is required for each course to run. If the course is cancelled, UCL Laws will let you know by 26 April 2025 at the latest.
We will refund in full any course fees or give you the option to move your place to the next available course date. Please note that UCL accepts no responsibility for travel or accommodation arrangements or costs, and travel/ accommodation should be booked at your own discretion.- What is the refund policy for the programme?
If you are unable to attend, and not in a position to substitute your place to another person or move your booking to the next available date, then the following cancellation charges below will apply:
• 6-8 weeks before the course starts: 40% of the fee paid
• 4-5 weeks before the course starts: 75% of the fee paid
• Less than 28 days before the course starts: 100% of the fee paid.- Terms and Conditions
