Professor Olga Thomas is Vice Dean (Education) and Director of Education in the Faculty of Laws. Olga joined UCL Laws in 2007 and has previously acted as Law Admissions Tutor, Departmental and Faculty Tutor and Director of Undergraduate Programmes.
 

As Vice Dean (Education) she provides academic leadership and oversight of all matters relating to education and student experience. She leads the development and implementation of Education strategies within the Faculty of Laws and leads and contributes to cross-institution education and student experience initiatives, representing the Faculty and developing education across UCL and the broader academic community. Recent and current projects and areas of interest include diversification of assessment, reform of the personal tutoring system, introduction of a student academic mentoring scheme, provision of online education, block teaching and developing student support mechanisms in a new student mental wellbeing context. She has recently led work on the review and redesign of the Faculty’s postgraduate taught provision and UCL-wide on student academic integrity and contract cheating. 

As Director of Education she has responsibility for Quality Assurance and Enhancement measures and processes, leads on intake target setting and the policy and strategy for student admissions and recruitment activities and has Faculty oversight of and approval for student regulatory matters.
