UCL Laws launch new Summer School and Executive Education courses

7 March 2024

UCL Laws launches new short course offering with first suite of programmes running in Summer 2024.

Bentham House

UCL Laws is excited to announce the launch of two new short course initiatives. A three-week Summer School for current students and graduates with an interest in developing their legal knowledge, as well as intensive four-day Executive Education courses for busy professionals in commercial, government and not-for-profit organisations, seeking to advance their expertise in specialised areas of law.

Professor Eloise Scotford, Dean of UCL Laws, said:

‘I’m delighted we are launching a new summer short course programme to bring our world-class research-led education to a wider group of students and professionals. Bentham House is always a hive of learning and intellectual activity and it will be a privilege to open our doors to more people who will build their ongoing educational journeys with us, and take valuable useful learning back into their workplaces. Our committed academics have devised innovative and timely short courses to inspire, challenge, and inform – with characteristic Laws excellence and intellectual generosity.’

Professor Prince Saprai, Deputy Dean (Strategy) of UCL Laws, said:

“We are delighted as a Faculty to launch this new suite of Summer School and Executive Education courses designed to bring UCL Laws’ world-leading research and teaching excellence to a broader audience. These intensive courses will provide an invaluable opportunity for students and delegates to engage with world-leading experts working at the cutting edge of some of the most pressing legal and regulatory challenges the world faces today, from the regulation of online platforms to the promotion of sustainable finance. This is an exciting venture for the Faculty which chimes with our foundational values to promote disruptive thinking that makes a real-world impact”.
