Professor Hunter-Henin interviewed for upcoming documentary on labour law case

20 July 2023

The documentary focuses on Nadia Eweida and others v. the United Kingdom, a case which raised discussion around religious freedom at work.

Dr Myriam Hunter-Henin

Professor Myriam Hunter-Henin (Professor of Comparative Law and Law and Religion at UCL Laws) was interviewed by Agence France Presse on 12 July 2023 for a Council of Europe documentary on the anniversary of the European Court of Human Rights decision in the Eweida case.

Professor Hunter-Henin was asked why the decision is historic; to describe the impact it had had in Britain as well as in other jurisdictions; and to explain what the decision had changed in the way that religious manifestation at work was characterised and protected under the European Convention.

The documentary is scheduled to air in September 2023.
