Martin Fischer named runner-up for SLS Best Doctoral Paper Prize

Martin is the runner-up for this year’s Best Paper by a Doctoral Student Prize presented at the Society of Legal Scholars Annual Conference for 2022.
Martin Fischer, Lecturer in Commercial Law at UCL Laws, has been named the runner-up for the SLS Best Doctoral Paper Prize presented at the SLS Annual Conference for 2022 for his paper on “Intentions and Mistaken Payments”.
“Intentions and Mistaken Payments” considers the role that a mistaken payor’s intentions play in the explanation and justification of the payor’s claim for restitution following a mistaken payment.
The Best Paper and Best Doctoral Paper Prizes are awarded by the Society of Legal Scholars each year following its Annual Conference. Submissions are considered on the basis of originality; contribution to scholarship; and clarity and style.
