UCL Laws PhD student Flora Page discusses involvement in Post Office Trial
11 May 2021
Flora Page has discussed her experience representing three of the post office workers who were recently vindicated in the Court of Appeal.
Flora Page (PhD student at UCL Laws and Barrister at 23 Essex Street) acted for three of the subpostmasters - Tracy Felstead, Seema Misra and Janet Skinner - who were wrongly convicted of fraud and theft, in a trial widely regarded as the UK’s biggest miscarriage of justice.
In April, the Court of Appeal overturned the convictions of 39 former postmasters. The Post Office is now contacting 540 former workers with potentially relevant convictions, and seeking information in another 100 cases.
Flora has recently spoken to various media about the scandal, including BBC’s Today programme, Sky News and LBC Radio’s Andrew Castle Show. Flora has also written about her experience on her LinkedIn page, where she discussed her involvement in the trial; how the scandal impacted the three women she represented; and being threatened with contempt of court.
