In early January, the UCL Centre for Law, Economics and Society, together with the Sciences Po Faculty of Law, hosted the Yearbook of European Law Annual EU Law and Policy Conference.

Held at the Sciences Po campus in Paris across 10th-11th January, the conference centred on the topic of ‘EU Law in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution’.

Presentations spanned a fascinating range of issues, including the Internet of Things, plant breeding technologies, genetics, net neutrality, finance, digital mergers, intellectual property, artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Selected papers will appear in an upcoming volume of the Yearbook of European Law, Oxford University Press’ flagship journal on the law of the European Union.
