Dr Danae Azaria, Associate Professor at UCL Laws, has been appointed Senior Fellow at the ‘Berlin Potsdam Research Group: International Rule of Law - Rise or Decline?’, which explores whether, under current significantly changing conditions, there is an increasing ‘juridification’ of international relations or instead an erosion of international legal norms.

During her Senior Fellowship (Humboldt University Berlin, March-August 2019), Dr Azaria conducts research on the role that the silence of States in the context of international law-making plays in assessing the state of the international rule of law.

As part of her Senior Fellowship, on 23 April 2019, she gave a colloquium on the Relationship between the Sixth Committee of the United Nations General Assembly and the International Law Commission.
