UCL Faculty of Laws is proud to announce the launch of two UCL Laws LLB Opportunity Scholarships. The awards will support two full-time students (normally domiciled in the UK) from underrepresented backgrounds on the LLB programme offered by UCL Laws beginning in September 2019.

Each of these two scholarships provides the successful candidate with a maintenance bursary of £15,000 per annum for the duration of their degree (they do not cover the cost of tuition fees). The UCL Laws LLB Opportunity Scholarships will be paid annually to the scholars in three termly instalments.

Dr Prince Saprai, Vice Dean (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) and Associate Professor at UCL Laws, said:

‘We were delighted to set up these scholarships. UCL is committed to taking bold action to widen participation and break down the barriers to equality of opportunity and social mobility in legal education and the legal profession more generally. The Faculty prides itself on a collaborative, inclusive and welcoming atmosphere, and we are delighted that we have this opportunity to encourage and support deserving scholars to join our outstanding community of students, academics, and alumni.’
