Dr Deni Mantzari, Lecturer in Competition Law and Policy at UCL Laws, has participated in the European University Institute (EUI), Florence School of Regulation (FSR) Online Course on ‘Regulatory Delivery: Better Governance for the Global Energy Transition’ addressed to regulatory authorities in Latin America, Africa, and Asia.
The EUI/FSR 8-week online course brings together former regulators with practical knowledge and academics with many years of experience in different research areas to explore ways in which regulatory authorities are adjusting and should adjust their governance so as to address the challenges brought about by liberalisation, decarbonisation, as well as technological changes such as digitalisation.
Deni’s video lectures were informed by two of her publications, namely: ‘Economic Evidence in Regulatory Disputes: Revisiting the Court-Regulatory Agency Relationship in the US and the UK” (Oxford Journal of Legal Studies, 2016) and ‘The UK Domestic Gas Electricity (Tariff Cap) Act: Re-regulating the Retail Energy Market’ (Modern Law Review, 2019).
