Professor Ioannis Lianos quoted in Bloomberg Opinion on the Siemens-Alstom train merger

Professor Ioannis Lianos, Professor of Global Competition Law and Public Policy at UCL Laws, has been quoted in a Bloomberg Opinion article published today.

Entitled ‘Siemens Boss Goes Off the Rails in Twitter Rant’, the opinion piece discussed the merger of Siemens AG and Alstom SA, which requires approval from competition law regulators.

Professor Lianos comments on the merger’s potential impact of higher prices for customers in the EU, and if this should be balanced with other considerations (industrial policy, employment).
