Professor Philippe Sands QC, Professor of Law at UCL Laws, spoke on BBC Radio 4 about the Myanmar genocide hearings, which began today.
Aung San Suu Kyi (leader of Myanmar) will defend her country against charges of genocide at the ICJ in The Hague. The case has been brought by the Gambia, on behalf of dozens of other Muslim countries. Professor Sands is counsel for the Gambia.
