Lena Kolloge

Lena Kolloge, a UCL Laws student on the English and German Law dual degree programme and currently studying abroad at the University of Cologne, was invited to join the “Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes” - the most prestigious German scholarship programme. The scholarship entails a monthly allowance for educational costs; access to educational programmes; and covers her undergraduate studies as well as a prospective master course.

Lena is delighted about the opportunity to take part in the summer academies on topics of political and social relevance, and to network with other scholarship holders. She is convinced that the outstanding education she received at both UCL and the University of Cologne prepared her not only for the highly demanding scholarship selection process, but also for a promising career within the legal field.

The English and German Law LLB is four-year dual degree programme, which involves two years of study at UCL and at the University of Cologne, leading to the award of a Bachelor of Laws degree from each institution.

Dr Nina Lueck, DAAD Lecturer at UCL Laws, who taught Lena in German Contract Law and German Constitutional Law at UCL commented: “I am very proud of Lena who is not only an extremely gifted student but who has also worked very hard. Moreover, she has been involved in pro bono work and it has been a pleasure to teach her. I am very pleased that her talent and achievements have been recognized by the top German funding organization “Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes” which awarded her the prestigious scholarship.”
