Professor Jonathan Montgomery discusses NHS waste backlog on Radio 4
9 October 2018
Professor Montgomery discussed the criminal investigation into the stockpiling of medical waste.
Professor Jonathan Montgomery, Professor of Healthcare Law at UCL Laws, spoke to BBC Radio 4’s PM show last Friday about the legal requirements of how medical waste should be stored, managed and disposed of.
Professor Montgomery goes on to discuss what the aims and scope of the investigation will be.
The discussion comes after a criminal investigation was launched last week after it was discovered medical waste, including body parts and medical chemicals, was allowed to build up at several disposal sites.
