A recent BBC News story indicated that London has been ranked ‘best city in the world for university students’. The finding came from the QS higher education ranking of university cities.

Lorraine Chimgba, Law LLB, said:

‘What attracted me to study at UCL was the international aspect, I knew that I would be able to meet people from all over the world and benefit from the diversity of thought whilst learning from new and different cultural backgrounds.’

Philip Marcus, Law LLB, said:

‘I applied to the Law Faculty at UCL for three reasons: the reputation of UCL for intellectual openness and tolerance, the Law Faculty’s distinguished history, and the opportunity to be in London, with its vast array of cultural institutions.’

Silindile N. Buthelezi, LLM International Banking and Finance Law, said:

‘I chose to study at UCL because it is one of the leading academic institutions in the UK in respect of teaching and research. When I applied for the LLM in International Banking and Finance Law, I knew that I would be taught by well-renowned professors in my field of interest. Also, I loved the fact that UCL is located in the heart of the world’s financial centre – London.’

Omar Hernandez Arauz, Law LLM, said:

‘Studying in London and building networks here has been crucial in terms of being able to get a job with the UN and I received help from UCL Careers.’

Yanlun Meng, Law LLM, said:

‘Studying in London provided me with infinite opportunities and it encouraged me to keep improving myself in the face of the fierce competition.’

Sebastian Kornhouser, Law LLM, said:

‘Due to London’s institutional, historical and legal prominence, the capital city has a concentration of experts who are easier to access. Studying in London provides convenient, strategic and direct access to expertise and to the multitude of experts one would not easily obtain if based in another city. For me, studying an LLM in London was a natural choice, which did not require second thought.’
