UCL has emerged victorious once again in the UCL v LSE Inter-Varsity Mooting Competition (The Eversheds Mooting Cup), winning both the senior and junior moots.

The Eversheds Mooting Cup is an annual tradition between two of the most highly ranked law schools in London, organised jointly by the UCL Law Society and the LSESU Law Society. The competition provides each University with the opportunity to showcase some of their best mooters in a friendly competitive environment.

The Senior team consisted of Nathan Sekhar and Olivia Ved, and the Junior team of Ellen Chan and Mylan Rai.

This year’s moot problem was on the contract law topics of consideration and promissory estoppel.

As Ellen Chan said:

'The moot provided a platform for the exchange of skills between the teams, and an invaluable opportunity to advance my own knowledge.'

Olivia Ved said:

'I’ve really enjoyed representing UCL over the past three years, and winning the varsity moot was the perfect end to my mooting career.'

The UCL Law Society is grateful for the support and hospitality of Eversheds Sutherland LLP.
