Professor William Twining QC, Emeritus Quain Professor of Jurisprudence, at UCL Faculty of Laws, has won the Award for Academic Contribution in the 2016 Halsbury Legal Awards
Established in 2013, The Halsbury Legal Awards recognise the exceptional and outstanding achievements and contributions of individuals, teams and organisations across the legal sector.
Jan Miller, editor of New Law Journal and chairman of the 2016 judging panel, said:
‘Professor Twining has contributed especially to jurisprudence, legal method and legal education, and continues to engage with and encourage new ideas – his recent work explores the implications of globalisation for legal scholarship and legal theory. Few of his peers have been so magnanimous, so generous or are held in such high regard.’
