  • Dr Ugljesa Grusic and Dr Mark Dsouza to present papers at the University of Hong Kong

On 8 November, Dr Ugljesa Grusic, Lecturer at UCL Faulty of Laws, will give a staff seminar at the School of Law of the City University of Hong Kong and present his article entitled “International Environmental Litigation in EU Courts: A Regulatory Perspective.”

Dr Ugljesa Grusic said:

‘I am very excited to have been invited by the City University of Hong Kong to present my research on international environmental litigation and look forward to the discussion.’

The article was published in this year’s volume of the Yearbook of European Law.

On 10 November, Dr Mark Dsouza, Lecturer in Law at UCL Laws, will present his paper on the philosophy of responsibility in relation to criminal accessorial liability.

Dr Mark Dsouza said:

‘The School of Law at City University of Hong Kong is internationally renowned, and has a strong commitment to common law scholarship. It boasts of a stellar international faculty with a multicultural profile, and a diversity of expertise and strengths, including in criminal law.

I am very excited to be discussing my views on accessorial liability in Hong Kong, because Hong Kong’s criminal law is different from, yet influenced by, that of England and Wales. I therefore anticipate that the distinguished academics at Hong Kong will be able to engage with my arguments from a different, yet not altogether incompatible, perspective.’
