About the talk

This talk will take the elaboration of humanity through and against European colonialism as its starting point to think about the possibility of decolonising humanity as an ethical and political concept.  

About the speaker

Ayça Çubukçu is Associate Professor in Human Rights and Co-Director of LSE Human Rights at the London School of Economics. She is the author of For the Love of Humanity: the World Tribunal on Iraq (2018, University of Pennsylvania Press). She is a member of the editorial collectives of the Humanity Journal, Jadaliyya’s Turkey page, and of the LSE International Studies Series at Cambridge University Press.
