Professor Denys Holland was a legendary admissions tutor at UCL Laws during the 1950s and 60s. With a somewhat unusual admissions policy, he managed to recruit a series of uniquely talented undergraduates who all went on to make a name for themselves in the legal profession and beyond. Many of these former UCL Laws students are now QCs and judges, some are in politics, while others have been successful in the media or international commercial circles.

Our distinguished speaker at this years Scholarship Dinner will be Maurice Watkins CBE (Laws, LLB 1963, Senior Partner and Head of Sports Law team at Brabners LLP, and President of the British Association for Sport and Law (BASL); formerly Director of Manchester United Football Club, Director of the Rugby Football League, Director of Lancashire Cricket Club, and Chairman of British Swimming). Fellow alumni, Sheila Clark and Vincent Cheung has generously agreed once more to contribute an excellent wine for us to enjoy.

The Denys Holland Scholarship aims to support undergraduate students from any country, who without the support of the scholarship would be unable to secure the funding required to study at UCL. The scholarship, worth £9,000 per annum, is aimed at students who can demonstrate their intention to make full use of the activities offered by UCL and the UCL Students Union.

To book your ticket, complete the booking form below and purchase tickets using your credit or debit card OR downnload the form and book offline.
