Disability, Health and Wellbeing

At UCL, there are a range of resources to support mental and physical wellbeing; as well as support for disabled staff and students.

Disability equality

UCL has provided information and guidance on supporting staff and students with a disability – including how to produce accessible online content, lectures, events and more.

UCL Student Support and Wellbeing offers support for students who are disabled or have a long-term health condition. The Disabled Students’ Network, part of the UCL Students’ Union, promotes the interests and needs of students who identify as disabled, including those with learning difficulties, mental health issues or long-term illness.

Health and wellbeing

We aim to make UCL Laws a safe and pleasant environment in which to study and work. The UCL Laws Wellbeing Team run a range of events and initiatives, both online and in-person, to promote wellbeing among staff and PhD students.

The UCL Student Support and Wellbeing team provides a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for students to discuss any issues that may be affecting their ability to study. Support services are free of charge and open to all UCL students of all levels.

We also have two Student Advisers for UCL Laws whose role is to provide wellbeing and pastoral care for our undergraduate students, especially in their transition into university. Students can book 1:1 appointments and discuss any matters relating to wellbeing and student experience.
