How do teachers respond to child anxious behaviours?

UCL Institute of Education (IOE) academic, Dr Jennifer Allen, chaired a symposium on 'Contextual Factors in Child Anxiety' at the International Society for the Study of Behavioural Development (ISSBD) 2018 biennial conference.
Dr Allen presented research she conducted alongside Rebecca Lerman (Middlesex University) on variations in teacher responses to children's anxious behaviours as a function of teacher gender, child gender, type of anxiety (separation anxiety, generalised anxiety/worry, social anxiety) and teacher stress levels.
The ISSBD conference was held 15-19 July 2018 on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia.
