IOE convenes symposium in Nairobi

On 12 July 2017 the UCL Institute of Education (IOE) and the University of Nairobi will convene a one day symposium on higher education and peacebuilding.

The symposium will take place in Nairobi, Kenya, and will include discussion on the impact of conflict on higher education; how to support education in conflict affected areas; and the functions of international partnerships for higher education capacity development in conflict-affected and fragile contexts.

Dr Tejendra Pherali and Dr Alexandra Lewis, both members of the Centre for Education and International Development (CEID), will be presenting at the symposium.

The symposium forms part of the growing thematic work within CEID on Conflict, violence and peacebuilding through education, which is directed by Dr Pherali.
