Hannah's book explores the history of the NHS' flagship gender service for children, the Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS). It meant to provide talking therapies to young people questioning their gender identity.

She will discuss the medical scandal surrounding GIDS, drawing from testimonies and reports. A panel discussion and some refreshments will follow.

This in-person event will be particularly useful for academics, policymakers, teachers, health professionals and parents.

This event is co-organised by the UCL Women’s Liberation Special Interest Group (SIG).
