The research dissemination seminar 'Schools as Enabling Spaces to Improve Learning and Health-Related Quality of Life for Primary School Children in Rural Communities in South Africa' will create a space for dialogue between academics, researchers and key stakeholders from South Africa, the UK and beyond.

They will review and discuss key findings from a three-year UK Economic and Social Research Council funded research project "Schools as Enabling Spaces to Improve Learning and Health-Related Quality of Life.”

By bringing diverse voices into the dialogue, the seminar will stimulate deep and meaningful learning conversations that will formulate agendas that are fundamental to researching and improving the quality of education and wellbeing in schools.

Speakers include the “Enabling Schools” research team (University College London, University of Pretoria, London South Bank University, and University of Limpopo).

This event will be particularly useful for those interested in addressing the inequalities in education and health and how schools can create optimal practices and conditions to address these deficiencies.

Note this is a hybrid event and can be joined either in-person or online.
