In this seminar, Shruti will draw on different projects to show how research on schooling of students with autism and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) has tended to neglect certain voices, resulting in homogenised descriptions of the individual’s educational experience.

She will focus on the experiences and reflections of these children concerning their years in compulsory school and the facilitators and barriers encountered and/or experienced by them along their pathways to higher education.

This in-person event will be particularly useful for researchers, policy makers and educators.
