In this event, Valerie Hannon proposes that creating schools fit for the future can benefit from drawing on sets of design principles used by organisations that systematically engage in futures thinking.

Drawing on her research into such organisations, Valerie outlines these design principles and describes six new models – ‘archetypes’ – resulting from schools internationally in diverse settings that apply the principles.
Her conclusion raises questions about the leadership paradigm shift needed to enable such transformations in schools.
